According to the Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary, decoupage is defined as: act of cutting out; the art of decorating surfaces by applying cutouts (as of paper) and then coating them with several layers of finish (as lacquer or varnish). This is the home of a family of Eastern Bluebirds that comes to nest in my yard every year. I’m just going to tiptoe up to the birdhouse and sneak a quick peak inside. I’ve been curious ever since I saw them perched in the trees a few weeks back. Shhh! (more…)

I have always enjoyed making things for my home. I have made quilts, designed cloth dolls and pillows, embroidered accessories, decoupaged furniture, sewn curtains. Color is in itself a medium in my humble opinion. The hues and gradations make up what pleases us, brings the sunshine inside. (more…)
